EUROACCIAI: THE TOMMASINI-MARNIGA FAMILY BUYS BACK 100% OF THE COMPANY AND INVESTS IN FUTURE DEVELOPMENT
Villa Carcina, 22nd May 2024 - The Tommasini-Marniga family buys back 100% of Euroacciai S.p.a., a company based in Villa Carcina (BS) specialised in the marketing of flat-rolled stainless steel products in standard or custom sizes.
The company was founded in 1981 by Bruno Marniga, an expert of the stainless steel market, who passed away ten years ago. Flanked by his daughter Alberta Marniga and son-in-law Alessio Tommasini, he turned a small commercial company into a modern service centre for stainless steel, that in 1990 saw a capital investment by Acciai Speciali Terni who gained 30% of it’s shares. After 35 years of fruitful corporate collaboration, Alberta Marniga and Alessio Tommasini - owners of 70% through the family holding - have decided to buy back the shares held by A.S.T..
“The corporate relationship comes to an end in absolute serenity”, comments Alberta Marniga, president of Euroacciai S.p.a., “and it has been an opportunity for us, young entrepreneurs of the 1990s, to grow professionally taking the company from a small local reality to a more complex organisation present in many different markets”.
“Acciai Speciali Terni is our main supplier”, adds Alessio Tommasini, CEO of Euroacciai S.p.a., “and the well-established business relationship between the two companies will continue with deep trust and mutual cooperation”.
The corporate transaction, finalised on 21st May 2024, represents a further step towards a renewal process started by Euroacciai, centred on the revision of the internal organisation, the investment on a new slitting line, the entry of the new family generation in the management of the company, and sustainability.
Dr. Mario Arvedi Caldonazzo, Vice-President of Acciai Speciali Terni s.p.a., agrees, adding: “The company's relationship with Euroacciai ends in absolute friendship and with the prospect of continuing and increasing the existing business relationship”.
