The event "Bergamo Brescia Capital of Business Culture. The manufacturing platform of Europe" analyzed the richness of the manufacturing supply chains of these two cities, their points of contact, specificities and areas of collaboration, highlighting the extraordinary strength and potential of this manufacturing fabric.

Bergamo and Brescia are two concrete and solid examples of Italian manufacturing excellence: two provinces without industrial boundaries, with close manufacturing relationships, which are confirmed as first in Europe in terms of number of enterprises and which also prove to be "enterprise and labor capital."

In Brescia and Bergamo, the weight of industry in the total provincial economy is 33 percent, when the regional average is 23 percent and the national average is 20 percent. The turnover of this industrial platform is worth more than 90 billion euros. These figures underscore the national manufacturing centrality of the two cities and their importance in presiding over international value chains.

One feature to highlight about these territories is the different specialization. Both cities have a natural industrial vocation, with manufacturing and the construction sector first in Italy, but Brescia has equal strength in the agricultural and service sectors.
